TrackingApp ("us", "we", or "our") operates the WalkTrack application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

Types of Data Collected
Personal Data
While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data"). This includes:
- Email address
- Full Name
- Country
- Password (stored in a hashed format)
Location Data
We collect and process real-time information about your device's location ("Location Data") to provide the core features of our Service, such as tracking your walks, mapping your routes, and calculating stats. This data is collected when you are actively using the tracking feature of the Service.
Usage Data
We may also collect information on how the Service is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may include information such as your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g., IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.
User Content
We collect information you provide when you use the Service, such as session descriptions or notes you add to your walk logs.
2. Use of Data
WalkTrack uses the collected data for various purposes:
- To provide and maintain the Service
- To manage your account and subscriptions
- To provide the core tracking, logging, and history features
- To notify you about changes to our Service
- To provide customer support
- To monitor the usage of the Service
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues
- To sync your data across devices (for "Basic" and "Premium" subscribers)
3. Data Storage and Third-Party Services
We use third-party services to store your data, process payments, and provide authentication.
- Firebase (Google): We use Firebase for database storage (Firestore), user authentication (Firebase Auth), and cloud sync. Your Personal Data, Location Data, and User Content are stored securely within Firebase's services.
- Google Sign-In: If you choose to log in with Google, we will receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account to create and authenticate your WalkTrack account.
- Payment Processors: We use third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, or Google/Apple Pay) to handle Subscription payments. We do not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors.
- OpenWeatherMap: We may use your location to fetch weather data from OpenWeatherMap to display within the app.
4. Data Security
The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We use commercially acceptable means (such as Firebase's built-in security) to protect your Personal Data, but we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We will retain your Personal Data and Location Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, or until you delete your account.
6. Your Data Rights
You have the right to access, update, or delete the information we have on you. You can do this at any time by accessing your account settings or by contacting us directly.
7. Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
